Foremothers Exhibit Recap | High-Impact Event Coverage by Adáe

A powerful artistic experience documented with care, clarity, and cultural depth.

In full collaboration with The Beautiful Project, Black Girls in Art Spaces (BGIAS), Artspace, and acclaimed artist Kennedi Carter, I produced immersive event coverage for Foremothers — a stunning exhibit rooted in legacy, artistry, and Black womanhood.

Project Challenge

This wasn’t just an art show — it was a multi-layered, emotional, and visual experience featuring iconic photography, community energy, and a powerful artist-led dialogue. My role was to create a content piece that:

  • Honored the vision of the exhibit

  • Felt emotionally present and culturally respectful

  • Served as both digital archive and promotional tool

  • Could be shared across five unique platforms without losing story integrity

What I Did

✔ Produced a 6K high-quality recap video capturing both intimate and communal moments
✔ Documented the private artist-led tour, exhibit walk-through, and closing artist talk
✔ Captured emotion-rich visuals that conveyed the weight and beauty of Kennedi Carter’s work
✔ Edited and delivered the content as a campaign-ready digital asset and evergreen archive
✔ Provided strategic brand alignment and PR-level storytelling that supported all collaborating brands’ missions

Content Outcome

The final content was multi-functional and deeply impactful:

  • Used as a PR asset for all five partner organizations

  • Served as an emotional record for attendees and community

  • Created visibility around Black artistry and representational storytelling

  • Elevated Kennedi Carter’s closing reception with high-quality, respectful visual storytelling

  • Provided ongoing use for campaigns, media pitches, and community engagement

The piece now stands as both a digital tribute and professional content product — where art meets advocacy, and beauty meets narrative.

Telling Stories That Honor the Moment

If you’re curating something sacred, visual storytelling should be just as intentional. I collaborate with artists, institutions, and collectives to capture cultural impact — not just for today, but for the future.
