Arts on the Block | Community Event Recap by Adáe

A vibrant street experience captured through an immersive lens.

In partnership with Artspace (Raleigh, NC), I created third-party content that captured the energy, diversity, and spirit of their new community event, Arts on the Block. My goal was to produce a visual recap that felt like you were truly there — walking the streets, seeing the vendors, and experiencing the art, food, and culture firsthand.

Project Challenge

Artspace needed content that would go beyond a simple recap — they wanted a tool for engagement and promotion. The goal was to create an asset that could:

  • Reflect the authentic pulse of the event

  • Highlight local vendors and performers

  • Build interest for future editions

  • Be shared by the organization, collaborators, and community members alike

What I Did

✔ Attended the entire event as a third-party documentarian
✔ Captured the interactive energy across surrounding streets, booths, and food trucks
✔ Highlighted 30+ local vendors, street performers, and installations
✔ Produced a dynamic 90-second recap video that delivered emotion, movement, and place-based storytelling
✔ Delivered versatile footage that could be reused across platforms — for community engagement, marketing, and archival use

Content Outcome

The final product told the real story of the event: energetic, diverse, and community-first. The video recap served as a digital keepsake and campaign tool — helping Artspace:

  • Promote future events

  • Thank vendors and participants

  • Share a professional visual summary with stakeholders and funders

  • Celebrate the cultural richness of Raleigh’s creative scene

This content now lives as a resource and brand asset that supports their long-term outreach.
