Abigail Ruth Exhibit Recap | Content Creation for BGIAS & Peel Gallery

A quiet but powerful experience — captured with clarity, creativity, and care.

This project was produced in full collaboration with Black Girls in Art Spaces (BGIAS) and Peel Gallery, spotlighting the interactive and emotionally rich exhibit by Abigail Ruth, titled “A Mother is a House.”

Project Challenge

The mission was to document the exhibit in a way that preserved its deep emotional resonance and communal energy, while still creating a piece that could support both press strategy and visual storytelling. The team wanted to ensure that the final recap didn’t just show what happened — it needed to make people feel like they had truly been there.

What I Did

✔ Produced a 90-second immersive recap video capturing both the visual beauty and the lived experience of the exhibit
✔ Filmed a one-on-one interview with artist Abigail Ruth — offering rare insight into her process, inspiration, and vision
✔ Showcased the artist talk, gallery interactions, and community presence with a soft, artistic visual tone
✔ Delivered content that could support PR, community engagement, and archival documentation

Content Outcome

The final piece was a powerful third-party perspective that gave viewers a genuine sense of what it was like to attend. It served as both a digital archive of the event and a promotional tool to elevate Abigail’s work and amplify the mission of BGIAS and Peel Gallery.

The video helped deepen connection, support strategic outreach, and communicated emotional texture through editorial pacing, candid moments, and artist-led narrative.

Telling Artist Stories Through Lens and Language

From solo exhibits to collective talks, I create content that honors the work — and the people behind it. Let’s produce visuals that feel like living memory, not just documentation.
